Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift MICU position in a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and transplant center with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a hospital critical care environment
- Level 1 trauma center, designated stroke center, burn and transplant center, ELSO certified
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday shifts assigned as needed by the unit
- Uses Sunrise charting system
- Blue scrubs required for all shifts
- Adheres to radius rule: local candidates accepted at a reduced rate, with distance requirements varying by state
- Unit supports both burn and transplant patient populations
- MICU nurses contribute to care in a multidisciplinary trauma and specialty environment
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license with current primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required or must be current per group guidelines
- Nursys license verification required
- Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address (no international addresses accepted)
- Driver’s license copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required
