Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift MICU position in a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and transplant center with every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a hospital critical care environment
• Level 1 trauma center, designated stroke center, burn and transplant center, ELSO certified
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday shifts assigned as needed by the unit
• Uses Sunrise charting system
• Blue scrubs required for all shifts
• Adheres to radius rule: local candidates accepted at a reduced rate, with distance requirements varying by state
• Unit supports both burn and transplant patient populations
• MICU nurses contribute to care in a multidisciplinary trauma and specialty environment

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license with current primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required or must be current per group guidelines
• Nursys license verification required
• Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address (no international addresses accepted)
• Driver’s license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required
