Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of radiology/cardiology experience and active NJ license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a teaching hospital setting
• Day shifts are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and holiday coverage required as applicable
• Unit handles 5-10 cases daily including interventional body, neuro, endovascular, abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary interventions
• Candidates may be required to float within their skillset based on facility needs
• On-call required up to 3 nights per week from 5:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Uses EPIC Radiant and Q-site for charting and documentation
• Equipment includes GE and Philips Angio Suites, EKOS, closure devices, and standard sterile procedure setups
• Hospital provides scrubs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be available to work at least 2 of 3 major holidays unless otherwise specified
• Schedule requests are only accommodated if approved prior to offer; changes are not permitted onsite
• All time off must be requested prior to offer; requests after offer will not be accommodated
• Candidates must be committed to completing the contract and final week; excessive callouts may result in ineligibility for future assignments
• Open to both local and traveler candidates at the same rate
• Former employees must have a minimum 1-year break before returning on a travel contract
• Hospital provides a structured onboarding including non-billable modules and onsite EPIC training

Requirements

• Active NJ state license required at time of consideration; License required if applicable
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology/cardiology
• Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and assisting with interventional procedures including neuro, endovascular, abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary interventions
• Experience with GE and Phillips Angio Suites, EKOS, closure devices, and sterile equipment setup
• Experience using EPIC Radiant and Q-site for electronic medical records
