Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CA license, NRP certification, and advanced fetal monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Care for laboring mothers, newborns, and recently delivered mothers
• Uses Epic EMR, with Epic experience preferred
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Floating is not specified
• Must complete non-billable onboarding modules during orientation, which are tracked through e-learning
• Orientation module hours vary by specialty
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Locals are accepted at a different rate
• Background concerns such as DUIs must be disclosed prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross only)
• Certification in advanced fetal monitoring required
• Minimum of 2 years Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for both newborns and postpartum mothers
• Must provide two references from within the past year
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
