Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with a current WI or compact license and recent telemetry experience for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Hospital environment with mixed medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Required to work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Telemetry interpretation and strip sign-off are required skills
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Locals accepted within a 50 mile radius
• Night shift position requires every other weekend coverage
• May require completion of a video interview as part of the hiring process
• Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Modules must be completed during orientation (average 3-4 hours)
• Travel pairs accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required before interview
• Must be able to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• Two supervisor references from the past year, including one from the most recent assignment
• No latex allergies can be accommodated
