Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least two years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, an active OH or compact RN license, and EPIC EMR skills for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Assigned patient ratio is 1:5
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses EPIC EMR, and experience with this system is required
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Duties include IV starts, medication administration, patient education, labs, and monitoring
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing due to compliance requirements
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with application and built into contract
• ACLS and CPI certifications are preferred, but not required
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Completion of an accredited nursing degree program (ACEN or CCNE)
• At least 2 professional references required, with one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible
