Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an outpatient surgical setting in California with a valid CA RN license and recent OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient OR setting in a Level II Trauma Center
• Day shift position with 8-hour shifts and varied start times
• Possible weekend shifts may be required
• May float to main OR as needed
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Primary responsibilities include circulating and/or scrubbing in the OR for outpatient surgical procedures
• May be asked to float to other surgical areas depending on facility needs
• Med/surg and critical care RNs should be prepared to float as needed
• Some weekend coverage may be necessary based on operational demands
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
