Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position at a Critical Access Hospital requiring MT or compact RN licensure and proficiency in both ER and acute care.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small rural Critical Access Hospital setting
• Care for ER and acute care patients with low census (1-2 ER patients and 1-2 inpatients per shift)
• Night shift schedule from 6pm to 6:30am
• Each shift is staffed with one RN, one LPN, and one CNA
• Involvement with long-term care (LTC) rounds and toileting during night shifts
• Orientation provided on the first three days of assignment
• Must be a team player willing to assist and collaborate with other nursing staff
• Responsible for a combination of ER, inpatient, and LTC patient care duties
• Dress code and scrub color not specified
• Local candidates accepted
• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
• Located in a small town with various nearby outdoor recreation opportunities

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS
• Ability to triage and provide care in the ER is required
• Team leadership skills including supervising CNA and LPN staff
• TNCC certification preferred
