Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a MA RN license, recent cath lab experience, and call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Suite within a hospital environment
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts typically between 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm
• On-call required including 12-hour overnight shifts and/or weekends, with an average of 2-3 overnight calls per week and/or 1-2 weekends per month
• 30-minute response time required when on call
• Care for cardiac patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Epic EMR experience required
• Duties include pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for cardiac cath lab patients
• Successful completion of Tele/ECG and medication skills tests may be required
• Team-oriented environment with both RNs and cath lab technologists
• Dress code or scrubs to align with department standards
• First-time travelers may be considered if all qualifications are met

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Proficiency with balloon pumps required
• Ability to take call for STEMI cases required
• Interventional radiology experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to provide proof of COVID vaccine and booster, and flu vaccine (medical exemptions allowed)
• Must have been separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities for at least 6 months for consideration
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible
