Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring neuro experience, Epic charting skills, and travel nursing background.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU with a focus on neuro patients
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in a 16-bed ICU with 14 rooms
• Floating to ICU, IMC, or Telemetry units as needed
• Uses Epic for charting, experience required
• Provide specialized care to critically ill neuro patients
• Orientation includes onsite modules, typically taking 4-6 hours and recorded via transcript
• No travel nursing pairs or groups are permitted for this assignment
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved, and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs

Requirements

• Current TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, with neuro ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility or in specified counties (Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris)
• Former staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
