Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience to work in a fast-paced, acute care teaching environment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the X-Ray department of a short-term acute care hospital with Level 1 trauma and Magnet designation
- Work schedule consists of 4x8 or 5x8 hour day shifts with variable start times (7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM)
- Every third weekend rotation is required
- No call or floating required
- Patients include emergency and inpatient populations requiring general diagnostic imaging exams
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred, training provided during orientation
- Surgery experience is preferred
- Duties include performing X-ray imaging for emergency and inpatient cases in a high-volume trauma setting
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Hunter green scrubs are required
- Free parking is provided with badge access
- Modules must be completed prior to start and are self-reported
- Returning staff must wait 12 months before reapplying
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off per assignment; all requests must be submitted up front
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an X-Ray Tech in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Proof of high school education is required
- License required if applicable
- Experience performing general diagnostic X-ray exams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
