Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled PACU RN with CA licensure and recent post-anesthesia care experience for a day shift travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU department of a hospital setting
• Provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated hospitals as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Expected to participate in floating assignments across affiliated facilities
• Willingness to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year is required
• Pre-start online education modules must be completed prior to assignment
• Travelers must address all requested time off prior to assignment
• Dress code and scrub color details will be provided during onboarding

Requirements

• Active CA RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Current certifications as required for PACU nursing
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of recent experience in a comparable specialty
• Must not have been employed at the facility as permanent staff within the last 3 months
• Subject to a 50-mile radius rule for local candidates
