Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg night shift position requiring SC or compact RN licensure and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Long-Term Acute Care Med/Surg unit
  • Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 7:30
  • Will consider 36 or 48 hour workweeks
  • Patient population consists of medically complex, long-term acute care cases
  • Must float to other qualified units or campuses as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR and 1-year experience with Epic is required
  • Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
  • Orientation is provided every Monday
  • Travelers must live at least 50 miles away from the contracted campus for night shift positions; under 50 miles is ineligible
  • Travelers who complete three consecutive 13-week contracts must either convert to employee status or take a six-month break before returning
  • Must be able to float only to units where competency is documented
  • Reimbursement provided for module completion up to 16 hours
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent LTAC or Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • One year of recent Epic EMR experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
