Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer for a 12-week assignment requiring strong general, pediatric, and OB/GYN ultrasound skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based at a main campus working in the Ultrasound department
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday
• On-call coverage is required
• Patient populations include general, pediatric, and OB/GYN
• Vascular ultrasound experience is preferred
• Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic charting experience is preferred
• Duties include performing ultrasound examinations in general, pediatric, and OB/GYN populations
• Pediatric and vascular scanning preferred, but not required
• Local travelers are not being considered
• Position does not accept candidates with permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
• Assignments are 12 weeks with a potential for extension
• Flu vaccine is mandatory during flu season
• Parking may incur additional costs depending on location
• Epic charting in use; prior Epic experience is beneficial

Requirements

• Current BLS certification accepted from AHA or Red Cross (AHA preferred)
• ARRT (S) certification preferred
• NH Imaging Tech License required, if applicable
• Proof of NH or Compact state license required; emergency license must be applied for promptly if not held
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
• Two references required for consideration
• Respirator FIT test required (specific form provided); must be completed prior to start or within 14 days
• NH criminal background check and BEAS record check required
• License required if applicable
