Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medicine E4 unit with a Med/Surg patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No blocked scheduling or travel pairs allowed
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Competency testing may be required for applicants with less than 2 years of experience and must be passed within 2 attempts
• More than 3 call outs within a 13-week period will result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• Requests for time off must be made at the time of application
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR is required; applicants without this will not be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional will be accepted
• Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from specified counties including Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
