Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulator experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room with 5 staffed ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• Patient volume averages 23 cases per day
• Surgical case types include General, Orthopedic, Urology, GYN, Podiatry, Pediatric Dentistry, Burn, ENT, Pain, and Vascular
• EMR used is Epic
• Surgical equipment utilized daily
• Day shift options: 0630-1500 or 0630-1700, Monday through Friday
• On-call required every 8th-10th weekend and 1 night during the week, 5 out of 10 weeks
• Weekend schedule includes call only, every 8th-10th weekend
• No floating required
• Role focuses on circulator responsibilities for a diverse surgical caseload
• Full support provided within the department
• Two-day departmental orientation with additional facility orientation
• Green scrubs are provided
• Parking is free for staff
• Department adheres to specific operational and safety protocols
• Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
• Requests for time off require manager approval
• First-time travelers are not preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR specialty experience as a circulator
• Circulator experience with cases relevant to the listed specialties
• Epic EMR experience preferred
