Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in beautiful Vermont, requiring a VT or compact RN license and 3 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Med/Surg unit providing care to primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, observation, outpatient, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Day shift from 7am to 7pm, three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Facility is a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Preferred experience with Meditech EMR
• This is not a pediatric floor, but RNs must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date
• Travelers will start on the 2nd or 4th Wednesday of the month
• First time travelers are considered

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years acute care experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Experience with both adult and occasional pediatric patients required
