Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 3 years of recent PCU/MST experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Medical Surgical Telemetry (MST) setting within a large level 1 trauma hospital
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week on an 8-week contract
• Primary responsibilities include direct patient care in a high-acuity PCU/MST environment
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Every other weekend scheduling is mandatory
• Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license must be in hand; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in PCU or MST units
• Experience working in a large level 1 trauma hospital setting required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• COVID vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
• Flu vaccination required
