Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in Iowa requiring an active IA or compact license and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work every third weekend is required
• EMR system used is Cerner
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
• First-time travelers are welcome for this assignment
• Must contribute clinical expertise as a member of the interdisciplinary care team
• Varied orientation dates are available prior to assignment start
• Travelers must work two out of three major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Only one day of requested time off is allowed during designated peak holiday periods
• Returning employees may not be eligible if employed at the facility within the past 12 months

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/Critical Care/CCU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or ARC), TNCC, and CPI certifications are required
• Must provide a driver’s license
• Skills checklist specific to ICU required
• Professional reference from a supervisor, manager, or director dated within the last 24 months preferred
• Local candidates are not eligible; must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from facility
