Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least one year of experience and a current state license for a 13-week assignment in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Caseload includes both inpatients and outpatients across swing beds, ICU, Med/Surg, orthopedics, and cardiac cath lab units
• Level IV trauma emergency room environment
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Work schedule may include some weekend and holiday coverage as required by the department
• Scrubs required with no specific color
• Role may involve care of COVID patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Multidisciplinary team environment with support from various hospital units
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be assigned based on departmental needs
• Candidates may be considered regardless of local or travel status, as local pay rate is the same

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
• Current state Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy required; AOTA and OTAC preferred
• Workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP) must be completed
