Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of pediatric outpatient experience for a temporary role in a leading children's hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient pediatric occupational therapy department
• Treat children with varied developmental conditions, including autism, sensory challenges, fine motor delay, and regulation issues
• Feeding/eating experience preferred, but not required
• Shift schedule is Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM; Mondays off
• No on-call requirements; potential for call-offs based on patient volume
• 20-week contract assignment
• Patient population includes infants through school-age children
• Use of Epic for charting; EMR experience preferred
• Floating within the hospital and to NICU satellite locations as needed
• Provide assessment and treatment for children with a variety of developmental needs
• Children’s hospital and teaching environment
• Supportive interdisciplinary team structure
• Travelers may float within the hospital and to outpatient NICU locations if required
• Free parking available for travelers
• Scrubs may be any color
• Up to 6 days of requested time off allowed; must work 2 out of 3 holidays if on assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Perm staff must wait one year before eligibility to travel
• Mileage reimbursement available for floating to locations beyond home base for NICU and HomeCare

Requirements

• Current CA Occupational Therapy license or eligible to obtain (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and NBCOT certification required
• Experience in pediatric outpatient and/or children's hospital setting preferred
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must provide two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years
