Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Texas requiring at least one year of recent ED experience and specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient population includes emergency and trauma cases
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Responsible for patient care and emergency response within the department
• Must provide application, license verification, certifications, and references as part of the onboarding process
• First time travelers are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of recent ED nursing experience required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI or equivalent aggression management certification required for ER units
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and Date of Birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required (refer to state-specific requirements for details)
