Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring recent fetal monitoring training and the ability to float to Med/Surg and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Labor & Delivery department
• Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Required to float to Med/Surg and care for pediatric patients as needed
• Every other weekend coverage is required
• Two to three on-call shifts per month are required
• Holiday coverage is required in rotation
• Virtual orientation provided every Monday
• Must be willing and able to float to Med/Surg and care for pediatric patients
• This is a nicotine free facility
• Local candidates are considered but must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility for eligibility
• Holiday and weekend coverage is part of the rotation
• Candidates are paid on a bi-weekly basis

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
• Must have completed an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring class within the past 24 months
• PALS required prior to start
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Experience in a rural hospital and prior travel experience preferred
• New graduates will not be considered
