Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a KS or compact license and recent fetal monitoring training.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Expected to float to Med/Surg and care for pediatric patients as needed
• On-call responsibilities consist of 2 to 3 shifts per month
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Uses Epic EMR, with experience preferred
• Virtual orientation takes place every Monday
• Work at a nicotine-free facility
• Primary responsibilities include Labor & Delivery patient care with potential to float to Med/Surg and Pediatric units
• Rural hospital environment with additional support for overflow and cross-unit assignments
• Holiday, weekend, and on-call coverage is required as part of team rotation
• Orientation is completed virtually to begin assignment
• Candidates must be nicotine-free to comply with facility policy
• Local candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for travel pay

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and current or committed PALS (prior to start)
• Completion of an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring class within the past 24 months
• Highly preferred: 3+ years of L&D experience in a rural hospital and previous travel experience
• EPIC charting experience is strongly preferred
• No new graduates accepted
