Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Interventional Technologist with at least 2 years of IR procedural experience and ARRT advanced registry certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiac Cath Lab with a focus on interventional radiology procedures
• Work schedule is full time, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 4 shifts per week and on-call 1 weekend and 4 weekdays per month
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Patients include those needing cardiac and vascular interventional procedures
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment and running CT spin is preferred
• Use of PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) required
• Duties include direct patient care during invasive procedures, preparation and administration of contrast and medications, and equipment setup
• Responsible for review, completion and indexing of studies in RIS and PACS, ensuring quality imaging and documentation
• Performs, documents, and enforces radiation safety practices
• Expected to assist with training new team members and students as needed
• Uses independent judgment for imaging techniques and patient safety
• Structured orientation with mandatory completion of online training modules prior to official start date
• Expect a minimum of two weeks for background check and drug screen processing
• All time off (RTO) requests must be discussed with management after assignment starts

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in interventional radiology with hands-on scrubbing in procedures with physicians
• High school diploma or GED required
• Active BLS certification from AHA required
• ARRT registration with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV required
• Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required for consideration
• Completion of all required online modules prior to start with a passing score
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• COVID vaccination is mandatory
• License required if applicable
