Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Float to multiple med/surg units as assigned
• Epic EMR is used in all units, and prior experience with Epic is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Must complete competency testing for medical-surgical applicants with less than two years' experience, with up to two attempts permitted
• Call outs exceeding three times in a thirteen-week period may result in contract termination; make up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
• Local candidates are not permitted if they reside in the specified counties within a 50-mile radius
• Travel pair assignments are not allowed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent med/surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
