Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with adult/pediatric echo certification and at least 1 year of experience for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Perform echo exams on both adult and pediatric patients
Expected caseload is approximately 5 exams per day
Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Night and weekend call rotation is required, but weekends are for call only
No floating between units during the assignment
Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Must be willing to take night and weekend call as scheduled
All travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities within the state if needed
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All time off requests must be submitted in advance; post-offer or late RTO may not be approved
Scrub attire for RNs is navy and for RRTs is galaxy blue/royal blue
Free parking and bike racks are available on-site
Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours required

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as an echo technologist is required
Adult and pediatric echo certification is required
Vascular certification is preferred
Current state license required if applicable; a compact license must be active at the time of consideration
Must provide two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Experience working with Epic EMR is required
