Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 18 months of specialty experience and proficiency in two of the following modalities: IR, Neuro, Vascular, or Cardiac Cath.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital interventional radiology department
• Patient care includes interventional radiology, neuro, vascular, and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Floating to sister facilities within a 20-mile radius is required
• Daily shifts are 4x10 hours, with shift and weekend scheduling to be discussed during the interview
• Call requirements are unit-based and will be addressed during interview with nurse manager
• Uses Epic for charting
• Ceil blue scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Technologists are expected to float within scope as needed to meet facility requirements
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of application for consideration
• Technologists may float to three facilities located within a 20-mile radius
• Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with up to 4 hours billable for required annual modules
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space
• A strict smoke-free policy is observed at all facilities
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year after their last assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location before returning

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months experience in the specialty required; 2 years preferred
• Competency in at least two of the following: IR, Neuro, Vascular, or Cardiac Cath procedures
• ARRT or RCIS preferred
• AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be nicotine-free and able to pass a negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen within 12 months of start
• Passing EKG and Pharm test during orientation is required; only two attempts allowed
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
• License required if applicable
