Job Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech Language Pathologist with BLS and CCC-SLP certification for an acute care hospital role requiring experience and flexibility between inpatient rehab and acute units.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an acute care hospital setting
- Works across both inpatient rehab and acute care units
- Day shifts consist of five 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Every other Saturday work requirement with on-call coverage on Sundays for 4 hours
- Sunday on-call is only for weekends scheduled to work
- Advanced scheduling of weekend and flex time with management
- Holiday coverage is optional and compensated at increased rates
- Use of Cerner for charting; prior Cerner experience may be beneficial
- Parking is provided at no cost
- Position requires traveler to live at least 50 miles away from the facility
- Floating between inpatient rehab and acute care units is required depending on patient needs
- Must be available for every other Saturday shifts and Sunday call as assigned
- Optional participation in holiday coverage with additional compensation
- Flex time is provided prior to and after weekend on-call commitments
- Dress code and scrub requirements will be communicated prior to assignment
Requirements
- Active State License required by start date; temporary licenses are not accepted
- BLS and CCC-SLP certifications are required
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- License required if applicable
- First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
