Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a CT or compact license, ACLS, BLS, and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed Medical ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
• Level II trauma center patient population in a 426-bed facility
• Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 19:00 to 7:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units as needed
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Responsibilities include providing critical care nursing for medical ICU patients in a Level II trauma environment
• Pre-assignment online training modules required before starting
• Participation in emergency response or natural disaster activities required
• Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
• Scrub requirements will be provided prior to start
• Applicants with any prior disciplinary action on their nursing license are not eligible
• Travelers will be required to float within the ICU and other units as directed

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required by start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 1 professional reference required
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Influenza vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination with booster required unless religious or medical exemption is approved
• Previous permanent staff must be gone for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
