Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care hospital experience and an active VA or compact state license for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Floating within therapy scope may be required
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience required
• Responsibilities include providing rehabilitation services to acute care patients within a community hospital environment
• Must adhere to a drug and tobacco-free workplace policy
• Facility enforces a natural nail policy
• All new hires will be assigned specialty modules during orientation, to be completed by the end of orientation week
• Travelers and permanent staff must not have been employed by the facility for at least 12 months before assignment eligibility
• No guaranteed holidays off; approved time off must be included in request at submission
• Return staff policy requires a one-year gap between assignments
• Smoke-free campus policies are strictly enforced

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience required
• Current VA or compact state PT license must be in hand at time of consideration (License required if applicable)
• Graduation from an accredited PT program (ACEN or CCNE)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Two professional references required
