Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience, ACLS/BLS/ARRT(R), and a Louisiana state license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a progressive cardiac catheterization lab performing cardiac, peripheral, vascular, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology procedures
  • Adult patient population with an average daily census of 6
  • Utilizes advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, Angiojet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, Medrad/Acist injectors
  • Imaging systems include Siemens (floor and ceiling mount) and Cannon labs
  • EPIC EMR with Cupid documentation is used in the department
  • Day shifts are typically 8–10 hours, 5 days per week
  • Requires coverage every other weekend and up to 3 call shifts per week, with call response time within 30 minutes
  • Candidates may be assigned to an Emergency Team during critical events and expected to remain onsite or join relief operations as needed
  • Independently perform all CCL procedures with a strong patient-first mindset and team orientation
  • Expected to proactively share expertise with colleagues and support department goals
  • 5-day orientation is provided, with modules completed as part of orientation
  • High-efficiency Code STEMI team and organization with leading D2B times
  • Previous permanent staff or agency contractors must have at least a one-year separation before returning as travelers
  • No acceptance of local travelers residing within 65 miles of the facility

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist (first-time travelers will not be considered)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, ARRT(R), and LSRTBE state license (compact or Louisiana license required in hand for consideration)
  • Must apply for allied health licensure within 72 hours of signing if not already obtained
  • Proficient with embolization, coiling, ablations, and device implants including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs
  • Experienced with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy devices
  • Demonstrated ability in STEMI care, focusing on first and door-to-balloon times under 60 minutes
  • Capable of performing both peripheral and EP procedures
  • Must live at least 65 miles from the facility address
