Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility night shift assignment requiring BLS certification and comfort with LTC/SNF settings.

Responsibilities

Work in a long term care/skilled nursing facility environment
Caring for adult and geriatric patient population
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:9 to 1:12
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
Weekend shifts are required
Recent EPIC EMR experience is preferred but not required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
A cardiac dysrhythmia test is required on the first day of orientation and must be passed to continue
Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to cancellation
All requested time off must be included before the contract begins; no additional RTO will be considered after submission
No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from facility

Requirements

Active SC or compact state RN license, or eligibility for licensure prior to start
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in LTC/SNF preferred, will consider 1 year on a case by case basis
Must be comfortable working in long term care or skilled nursing environments
Former permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers
