Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility night shift assignment requiring BLS certification and comfort with LTC/SNF settings.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a long term care/skilled nursing facility environment
  • Caring for adult and geriatric patient population
  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:9 to 1:12
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
  • Weekend shifts are required
  • Recent EPIC EMR experience is preferred but not required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • A cardiac dysrhythmia test is required on the first day of orientation and must be passed to continue
  • Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to cancellation
  • All requested time off must be included before the contract begins; no additional RTO will be considered after submission
  • No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from facility

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact state RN license, or eligibility for licensure prior to start
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in LTC/SNF preferred, will consider 1 year on a case by case basis
  • Must be comfortable working in long term care or skilled nursing environments
  • Former permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers
