Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of broad general nuclear medicine and therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
• Rotates between general nuclear medicine (including bone, gastric, hepatobiliary, renal studies) and PET/CT
• Uses Siemens cameras such as Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Option for 4x10 hour shifts may be available
• Call is required, typically 2-3 shifts per 6-week schedule period, with weekday and weekend call hours specified
• Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals is expected
• Role includes both routine diagnostic studies and therapy procedures
• Staff may cover both general nuclear medicine and PET/CT as needed
• Level 1 trauma center experience is required for most units
• Returning staff must be gone for at least 6 months before being eligible for traveler positions
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; no additional RTO will be approved after offer
• Annual and orientation modules must be completed as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• BLS certification required
• Compact or KY State License required at time of consideration if applicable
• No license violations or hits allowed
• References from two supervisors within the last three years
• Experience with Siemens SPECT/CT and PET/CT preferred
• Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility
