Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT and BLS certifications and at least 2 years of experience for weekend night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting within the X-Ray Department
- Initial training in the ER with potential to float to main department or surgery based on performance and contract extension
- Patient populations include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Shift is 3x12 hours, Friday to Sunday, 18:30 to 07:00
- Travelers may float to different units as needed
- Uses GE and Siemens X-ray equipment
- PACS experience required
- Epic experience preferred
- Main duties include conducting X-ray imaging in the ER and other departments as assigned
- Position involves initial orientation in the ER and further cross-training for other areas depending on independence and contract extension
- Modules are completed during orientation and annually, averaging 2 hours and recorded via transcripts
- Candidates must schedule and complete required lab appointments within specified timeframes
- Return staff must wait 2 years before being eligible for travel roles
- First-time travelers are accepted
Requirements
- Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years recent X-ray technologist experience
- Experience with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Must have experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment
- ICU experience preferred
- References required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for traveler pay rates
