Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position in California requiring a CA RN license and recent PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
• Day shifts (5x8 hours) from 11:00 to 19:30
• Possible minimal call on weekends based on departmental needs
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience required
• Cares for post-anesthesia patients in an acute care environment
• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of PACU nursing care
• Expected to engage in effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Modules and orientation are required and completed via e-learning
• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved during the assignment
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Previous staff or travelers must have a break in service of at least one year to be eligible
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Vaccination and background policies apply as per facility standards
• Scrub requirements will be provided at onboarding

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must complete a 7-year work history verification
• Must provide two professional references obtained within the past year
