Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Stepdown unit
• D/N rotating shifts with 3x12 hour shifts per week; shifts may be variable as needed
• Patient population includes progressive care and stepdown level patients
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Use of Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
• Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to facility for one year after previous assignment end date
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to start
• Four hours of mandatory modules are required pre-start, completed via Silkroad
• Nurses are currently exempt from the nicotine-free requirement
• PAPRs not allowed for caregivers with facial hair unless medically or religiously exempt

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent perm Stepdown experience required
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation with acceptable scores required
• Must provide at least one professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• No open case background hits accepted
• No license hits accepted
