Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist with 3-5 years of experience and active ARRT and BLS certification for a variable shift role in a high-acuity emergency and surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in the Emergency Generals and Surgery area
- Variable day shifts from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM with every other weekend required
- 4x10 hour shifts per week
- Assignment length is 26 weeks
- Work involves using Siemens X-ray equipment
- Role covers high-acuity emergency and general surgery cases
- Assessment in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate to be completed during orientation, both requiring passing scores
- Travelers must be nicotine-free; no exceptions
- Permanent staff cannot return to the facility for 1 year from the previous end date
- Assignments at any location not to exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month gap required before another assignment
- Dress code and scrub requirements to be discussed during interview
- All requests for time off should be discussed during the interview process
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of X-Ray technologist experience required
- Active ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications required in hand
- Permanent Ohio license must be obtained prior to consideration; compact licenses accepted if applicable
- Siemens equipment experience preferred
- Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine required within 12 months prior to start
- At least 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignment
- Two supervisory references in specialty required for consideration
- License required if applicable
