Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and strong skills in performing all MRI exams using GE equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital MRI department with imaging and clerical staff support
• Patient population includes a variety of cases typical to a 521-bed acute care hospital
• Uses GE MRI equipment for imaging
• Documentation is done using Meditech and GE PACS systems
• Shift schedule is Friday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• One shift of call per week is required
• Performs all MRI exams and provides compassionate care to patients
• Team includes imaging technologists and clerical staff for departmental support
• Gray scrubs are required as the dress code
• Trauma level II, NICU, and stroke center certifications at the facility
• Candidate must be prepared for assignments in a busy acute care hospital environment

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification is required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC is required
• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI technologist experience
• At least 6 months of MRI experience within the last 6 months
• Experience with GE MRI equipment and Meditech/GE PACS documentation preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide US Social Security Number and Date of Birth for consideration
• One professional reference required for all states except Florida and Missouri, which require two
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
