Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position working night shifts with geriatric and post-acute patients and at least two years of LTAC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 100-bed long term acute care (LTAC) facility
• Patient population includes geriatric, short-term, post-acute, and trach patients
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:20
• 12-hour night shifts with an 84-hour biweekly schedule (alternating 48 and 36 hour weeks)
• Nurse Practitioner available on duty from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
• Ancillary assistance includes 7 staff during night shifts
• Provide nursing care for geriatric, post-acute, and trach patients in a long-term care setting
• Team support includes nurse practitioners and ancillary staff during night shifts
• Must provide holiday coverage as needed according to facility requirements
• First-time travelers may be screened based on strength of experience

Requirements

• Active MS or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of LTAC experience required
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Strongly prefer prior experience in facilities of 400+ beds or Level 2 trauma centers
• Prior travel nursing experience required, though strong first-time travelers may be considered
