Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist experienced in acute care and dysphagia therapy with video swallow skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehab unit with a med/surg population
• Responsible for adult acute care caseload
• Handle dysphagia and video swallow studies, including MBS/VFSS procedures
• Schedule options include Tue-Sat, Wed-Sun, or Sat-Wed 8-hour day shifts
• Provide assessment and treatment for adult patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Conduct video swallow studies and collaboratively interpret results for treatment planning
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team in a rehab setting
• Adhere to facility guidelines and participate in ongoing team communication

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current California SLP license required if applicable
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP)
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in inpatient acute care med/surg settings
• Proficiency in dysphagia therapy and modified barium swallow (MBS)/video fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS)
