Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment requiring acute care experience and PA or Compact PT licensure.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the PT Acute Care unit
• Day shift with preferred 5x8 hour days (8:00-16:00), but 4x10 hour days may be accommodated
• Weekend shifts may be required as needed
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• Care for COVID patients may be needed
• No floating or on-call requirements
• Main responsibilities include patient evaluation and treatment in an acute care environment
• Team and manager interviews are part of the screening process
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to start and typically take 5-6 hours
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) permitted per contract
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be offered a different rate
• Pairs are allowed, but matched schedules are not guaranteed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience in an acute care setting required
• Valid PA PT license or Compact PT licensure required if applicable
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required
• AHA or ARC certification required
• Must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays if needed
• Must comply with tobacco- and fragrance-free workplace policies
