Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU RN with Epic experience and a SC or compact RN license for day shifts and every other weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of an acute care hospital
• Typical patient ratio is 1:4
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend if needed
• Floating within scope to like units and sister facilities may be required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Royal blue scrubs required
• All RTO must be requested at time of application; requests exceeding 7 days and/or including holidays require facility approval
• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start and average 4 hours in duration
• Hospital parking is provided at no cost; parking passes are distributed at badge pickup
• All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate pending HR approval

Requirements

• Active SC or multi-state compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years PCU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with a 1:4 patient ratio required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility for travel consideration
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation from prior employment within the system
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
