Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift contract requiring Epic experience and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department with 22 patient rooms
• Hospital setting caring for a broad range of emergency cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Uses Epic charting system; Epic experience required
• Orientation modules are completed onsite
• Primary responsibilities include patient triage, stabilization, and emergency care in a fast-paced environment
• Must work independently and efficiently, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Up to 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
• Not accepting travel pairs or group travel
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Epic charting experience required
• Cannot reside in the following TX counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year prior to travel employment
