Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring Level I Trauma experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Trauma ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Level I Trauma patient population
• Shift is 3x12 hours, days (7:00-19:00)
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Unit consists of 14 rooms and 16 beds
• Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed
• Epic charting system used; Epic experience required
• Orientation modules are completed onsite and average 4-6 hours
• First week of orientation requires full attendance; no RTO approved during this time
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved during the contract
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Trauma ICU experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• PALS and TNCC preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
• Former permanent staff must have at least a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
