Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab Unit position requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital inpatient Rehab Unit
• Treats patients with general rehab, stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury diagnoses
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00)
• Weekend shifts are required
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include delivering rehabilitative nursing care to neuro, spinal cord, and brain injury patients
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Modules and orientation completed pre-start
• Holiday coverage required, especially with minimal time off requests around Mardi Gras
• Strict adherence to RTO and holiday coverage policies

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient rehab nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility to qualify as a traveler
• Previous permanent employees at any LCMC facility must be separated for at least 1 year
