Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab Unit position requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the hospital inpatient Rehab Unit
- Treats patients with general rehab, stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury diagnoses
- Patient ratio is 1:5
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00)
- Weekend shifts are required
- Floating to other units is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Responsibilities include delivering rehabilitative nursing care to neuro, spinal cord, and brain injury patients
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Modules and orientation completed pre-start
- Holiday coverage required, especially with minimal time off requests around Mardi Gras
- Strict adherence to RTO and holiday coverage policies
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient rehab nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Must live more than 75 miles from facility to qualify as a traveler
- Previous permanent employees at any LCMC facility must be separated for at least 1 year
