Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring EPIC proficiency and a current FL or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Cath Lab setting
• Typical schedule is 4x10 variable day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:45am to 5:15pm
• On-call is required approximately one-third of the time, including holiday call coverage on a rotation
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2
• Weekend coverage includes every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period depending on unit needs
• Float to other facilities within the system may be required as needed
• EPIC is the EMR system used and prior experience is required
• Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care and monitoring for Cath Lab patients
• Holiday call coverage is assigned on a rotation basis
• Flu vaccine is required annually between October 31 and March 31 unless a medical or religious exemption is documented
• Finalized time off requests must be submitted before offer; changes are not permitted post-offer
• Any solid color scrubs are permitted, but tops and bottoms must match and have no logos or prints
• No radius rule; local candidates are accepted at the travel rate
• Parking is provided free of charge with a decal issued at orientation
• Modules are required during orientation and annually, recorded in the facility LMS
• Kronos timekeeping system is used, and travelers will swipe in and out with a badge
• Applicants with certain educational backgrounds will not be accepted per facility guidelines

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Cath Lab RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors within the past year required
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position
• Must be able to complete hospital lab work within 72 hours of signing
• Must be able to provide SSN and DOB for compliance requirements
• Must not have worked in an internal contracted role within the past year
