Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse with float pool experience for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a VA or compact RN license and Epic charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg and Telemetry float pool setting
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient population may vary based on floating assignments
• Use of Epic electronic medical record system is required
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs
• Local candidates are accepted at the same base rate
• Perform a variety of nursing duties as required by multiple units
• Must adhere to hospital RTO rules with minimal time-off requests
• All managers will conduct interviews before hire
• First-time travelers are accepted
• All onboarding documents including driver's license and Social Security card must be provided
• Team structure and daily support may vary depending on assignment location

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and stroke education
• Med/Surg or Telemetry specialty experience within the last year required
• Epic charting experience required
• One supervisory reference must be provided for consideration
• Previous permanent employees must have not worked at this organization for at least 6 months prior to hire
