Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienced in Siemens equipment and oncology imaging for a fast-paced adult/geriatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Nuclear Medicine and PET department serving adult and geriatric oncology patients
- Procedures include PET, cardiac and general nuclear medicine, Y-90, Theranostics, Lu-177 Pluvicto and Lutathera, I-131, and Spect/CT
- Monday through Friday day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating on-call required after hours and on weekends, typically every 4–5 weeks
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
- Uses Siemens equipment; Siemens experience required
- Epic EMR system experience required
- Responsibilities include performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures for oncology and cardiac patients, including advanced therapeutic treatments
- Must follow isolation precautions and be skilled in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Flu vaccine or signed flu declination form is required during flu season (October-March)
- Prior employment at this facility disqualifies candidates
- RTO requests are allowed without restrictive rules
- Candidates living within 75 miles are considered locals
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in nuclear medicine and adult inpatient oncology
- BLS certification required
- Experience using Siemens equipment required
- Experience with procedures such as Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, MUGA Scan, PET scan, bone scan, liver imaging, DTPA Aerosol, and various nuclear cardiology studies
- Proficiency in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and handling radioactive materials
- Epic charting experience required
- ARRT (N), CNMT, NMTCB, or PET certification preferred
- License required if applicable
