Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift position requiring recent Med/Surg experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Day shift position with 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedule options (7:00-19:00)
• Expected to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units may be required
• Patient care documentation using Soarian EMR system
• 13-week assignment with possible extension
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients and floating as needed
• Team structure may involve charge nurse duties
• Pre-employment online modules are required prior to starting the assignment
• Minimal requested time off is allowed, especially around holidays
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; those within 31-50 miles are considered local and will be paid at a local rate, while those less than 30 miles are not eligible
• Royal blue scrub attire is required during all shifts

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated charge nurse skills required
• Must wear royal blue scrubs (not provided)
• Submission must include updated NURSYS verification and Driver’s License to confirm address for eligibility
