Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Oncology position requiring a GA or compact RN license and chemotherapy certification.

Responsibilities

Work in an oncology infusion unit within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
13-week assignment duration with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
No on-call responsibilities
Patient care focused on oncology and chemotherapy administration
Responsible for administering chemotherapy and providing specialized oncology nursing care
Strict 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
Returning staff must have a 2-year gap from permanent employment before applying as a traveler
RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed during consideration; changes after offer are not allowed
Position requires 100% compliance with credentialing prior to start
First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
Chemo certification and competency in chemotherapy administration required
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Preferred: Experience in Trauma Level 1, oncology, or ICU settings
