Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Oncology position requiring a GA or compact RN license and chemotherapy certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an oncology infusion unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • 13-week assignment duration with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Patient care focused on oncology and chemotherapy administration
  • Responsible for administering chemotherapy and providing specialized oncology nursing care
  • Strict 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
  • Returning staff must have a 2-year gap from permanent employment before applying as a traveler
  • RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed during consideration; changes after offer are not allowed
  • Position requires 100% compliance with credentialing prior to start
  • First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
  • Chemo certification and competency in chemotherapy administration required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Preferred: Experience in Trauma Level 1, oncology, or ICU settings
